I already have a serial or season ticket for Porvoo–Helsinki from Matkahuolto – can I still use it?

Yes, you can continue using Matkahuolto-issued tickets.

Are seats guaranteed for serial and season ticket holders?

No. Please note that these tickets do not include an automatically reserved seat. Passengers with single tickets that include seating are prioritized; serial and season ticket holders may use any available free seats.

Do serial and season tickets collect OnniEtu points?

No, they do not. An OnniEtu account and a season ticket user account are not the same thing. OnniEtu is OnniBus’ loyalty program, where after purchasing 10 single tickets, you get the 11th trip free. To collect OnniEtu points, you must register for an OnniBus user account, and each trip booked while logged in will count towards rewards.

Can I use series or season tickets to pay for someone else's trip in addition to my own?

• Serial ticket: Yes, you can also pay for your travel companion's trip with a serial ticket.

• Season ticket: No, you can only validate your own trip with a season ticket.

Serial and Season Tickets Purchased via Matkahuolto and Kela-Supported School Tickets

You can also board OnniBus with Matkahuolto serial and season tickets and with Kela-supported school travel tickets. Please note that these tickets are accepted only on certain OnniBus services.

The following OnniBus routes do NOT accept Matkahuolto tickets: OB2, OB3, OB4, OB6, OB9, OB36, OB37, OB38, OB41, OB44, and OB91. Other OnniBus routes allow travel with both single-deck and double-decker buses. Passengers with advance-purchase tickets have priority boarding; serial and season ticket holders may use available seats.

Matkahuolto ticket products are valid for all services on the Turku–Helsinki and Porvoo–Helsinki routes.
