Himos Ski Center is one of the most popular travel destinations in Finland, and no wonder: you will find as many as 26 slopes in the center in Jämsä. Both beginners and more experienced skiers thrive here as there are different levels of slopes. During a snowy winter day at Himos you can enjoy the delicacies of the Himos restaurants. Why not stay overnight and sleep comfortably in a cottage right next to the ski resort? Our Onnibus buses stop in Himos along Highway 9. Ski free of charge If downhill skiing isn't your thing, did you know that you can also go skiing for free? The Himos Ensilumi (first snow) trail and other skiing trails in the area are free to use. The length of the skiing trail in one direction is 1,7 kilometers and the total length is 3,4 kilometers. The width of the trail is 8-10 meters and it has lights for those wishing to go skiing in the evenings. Himos is for the Whole Family The youngest members of the family can also enjoy themselves in Himos and there are great benefits for those under 7 years of age. The two hectare Lumila area offers children four ski lifts and training slopes, plenty to do for the entire day! If skiing is not your thing, you can also use a sled or a tubing tire to go downhill. A traditional toboggan ride will cheer up the whole family. Packed lunch can be enjoyed outdoors at three lean-to shelters. Here you will also find a playground with swings and a slide, as well as toilet facilities with diaper changing surfaces. Snowmobile safaris There is an extensive snowmobile trail in the Himos-Jämsä area, along which you can admire the beautiful scenery. Guided safaris in the region bring unforgettable experiences to your holiday. See the Himos-Jämsä website for more information on safaris.
