There are plenty of cross-country ski trails, for example on the ice of the Bay of Bothnia, where you can stop by the restaurant Satama Krouwi to learn about the local history and enjoy a delicious lunch or other house delicacies. The Kalli Outdoor Center offers a great place to try downhill skiing for the first time or a great jumping spot for top skiers. In Sea Lapland, you can also experience the Sampo Icebreaker cruise, perhaps Finland's most internationally known tourism product, which is certainly an unforgettable experience for Finns as well. You can take a day bus from Helsinki to Simo and Kemi with a day bus from Friday to Sunday and a night bus on Thursday and Friday.
